Make Silhouette Photographs Pop with 15 seconds of editing

I'm always a fan of a silhouette photograph if the opportunity presents itself...

It’s easy to enhance a photo like this Cape May lighthouse scene after taking the photograph by darkening/bringing down the shadow levels and increasing the black levels, which will emphasize the silhouette factor more and darken out other elements that are taking away from the photo.

In this case, I also added a touch of vignette, which darkens the photo around the corners, drawing more attention to the subject of the photo while also complimenting the silhouette feel.

This is fast and easy to accomplish using the almost any photography editing app or application, such as the built in iPhone Photos app editor, the Apple Preview app or even Photoshop.
