15 long years. Finally tried White Manna burgers.

White Manna, in Hackensack NJ, is one of the teeniest hamburger spots you’ll find anywhere! Very appropriately, they specialize in small burger sliders, similar to White Castle but with higher quality ingredients.

This renowned spot has been on my to-visit list for 15 years, but the thought of driving to Hackensack has been even more unappealing for 15 years. Even for miniature cheeseburgers.

There’s just one single grill and a handful of counter seats.

I tried both the single and double cheeseburger sliders. As usual, the double is superior! Fries were crinkly and good!

Overall, I found the food to be pretty good but not necessarily exceptional or worth a special road trip. I expected a little more flavor for such a caloric indulgence. The overall ambiance of the experience was more memorable to me than the food itself. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back if I was ever back in the area. It's definitely a fun experience from a place with decades of history!
