Zoom Registration Forms for Meeting Attendees

Someone just asked me if it is possible to ask folks to register for a Zoom meeting (via Zoom) and I actually never thought about whether or not this is possible. I assumed a registration feature was meant more for Zoom webinars, but, as it turns out, if you (as the host) have an enterprise/education level Zoom subscription, you can ask that people register for a regular old Zoom meeting if you’d like. (Note that registrants do not need an enterprise / education Zoom subscription -- free level is fine!)

  1. Create a new Zoom meeting

  2. Check the Registration "Required" checkbox

  3. Save the meeting and a few new tabs will now be visible including “Registration”, “Branding” and “Email Settings”, which offer options and customization, including adding a custom header image to the registration form, customizing which fields/questions are on the registration form + generating a confirmation email (if desired) to folks who sign up.

By default, this is what the registration form will look like:

When all is said and done, you can export a CSV report of who registered and their information (Go to: https://upenn.zoom.us/account/report). You can also save the meeting information (including the registration customizations) as a template if you want to re-use the same registration questions / settings for other future meetings.
